‘Homeland’ Elevates Nazanin Boniadi to Series Regular

Filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina, the upcoming fourth season of Homeland could see some big changes, starting with the promotion of Nazanin Boniadi (Scandal, Iron Man) to series regular, as revealed today via an official press release from Showtime, which you can read in its entirety below!  Showtime and Fox 21 announced today that acclaimed actress Nazanin Boniadi, who guest-starred in Season 3 of the  Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-winning drama HOMELAND, will return as a series regular for Season 4.

Studio Charlotte Responds to Economic Council Committee Decision

The developer of the proposed Studio Charlotte says the project is not dead, but is "on life support".

The developer of Studio Charlotte, the proposed film studio project at the former Eastland Mall site in Charlotte, North Carolina, has issued an official response to the city’s recent Economic Council Committee decision not to extend a Memorandum of Understanding. ‘We’re the Millers’ Racks Up 6 MTV Movie Award Nominations

North Carolina productions will have a good presence at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards next month, with We’re the Millers nominated for six awards, along with The Conjuring and Iron Man 3, which also received nominations, all three of which were filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. We’re the Millers is nominated for Best Female Performance (Jennifer Aniston), Breakthrough Performance (Will Poulter), Best Kiss (Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, and Will Poulter), Best Comedic Performance (Jason Sudeikis), Best Shirtless Performance (Jennifer Aniston), and Best Musical Moment (Will Poulter singing “Waterfalls”).
