‘Tusk’ Director Kevin Smith Praises Charlotte Film Crew
Kevin Smith (Clerks, Red State) spent 15 days in Cramerton, North Carolina this past November shooting his new horror film Tusk, and the director recently praised his Charlotte-based film crew via his official Facebook page, where he also said he would love to shoot his next movie there as well! Multiple sources have reported this month that Mattel’s big screen adaptation of their popular toy line and animated series Max Steel is set to open production offices in Wilmington, North Carolina in January, with filming to begin in February. It was announced back in September that Mattel would be teaming up with Dolphin Entertainment and Open Road Films to develop a live-action feature film based on the “Max Steel” character, to be written by Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World) and directed by Stewart Hendler (H+, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn).
