After a limited theatrical release in September, the horror thriller The Disappointments Room, filmed in Greensoboro, North Carolina back in 2014, comes home on Digital HD and DVD this month, starring Kate Beckinsale (Underworld: Blood Wars).
Base on true events, the plot follows Dana (Beckinsale) and David (Max Raido) as they move from Brooklyn to a once-grand southern mansion with their 5-year-old son looking for a fresh start. But Dana’s discovery of a secret room unleashes unexplainable events that test her sanity and slowly reveal the home’s terrifying past..
Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and Gerald McRaney also star, along with newcomers Duncan Joiner and Raleigh, North Carolina native Ella Jones.
The supernatural thriller is directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, Eagle Eye) and written by Beckinsale’s Underworld co-star Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Prison Break).
The Disappointments Room will be available first on Digital HD on Tuesday, December 13, and then will be released on DVD one week later on Dec. 20.
