‘Good Behavior’ Season 2 Approved for NC Grant Funds

About to return to Wilmington, North Carolina to film Season 2, TNT’s drama series Good Behavior has been approved for a second wave of funding under the state’s film grant program.

Star News reports that the show has been approved by the NC Department of Commerce for $9 million for its second season, which is a notable increase over the $6.6 million it received for its first season last year.

Good Behavior and two other projects shooting in the state, including American Animals, mark the first grant approvals from the second and final round of $30 million, which went into effect July 1, 2016. The extension of the film grant, which has no funding guaranteed beyond the current fiscal year, will be part of upcoming budget discussions during the current NC General Assembly session.

Under the film grant program, a production can receive up to 25 percent of its qualified in-state expenses back, pending an audit once filming is complete.

The independent film American Animals, now shooting in Charlotte, has also been approved for $1.7 million, as well as a national Audi commercial approved for 162,500.

The three projects are expected to contribute $46.2 million to the state and create more than 2,725 job opportunities in the state, including 208 well-paying crew positions, according to a release from the North Carolina Department of Commerce.

Good Behavior Season 2 will premiere on TNT this fall.

The production start date has not been scheduled yet, but we will let you know as soon as we find out.

Good Behavior stars Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), based on the Letty Dobesh books by North Carolina author Blake Crouch and Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines), telling the story of Letty Raines (Dockery), a thief and a con artist whose life is always one wrong turn, one bad decision from implosion — which is exactly how she likes it.

Season 1 found Letty fresh out of prison and attempting to stay afloat when she overhears a hitman being hired to kill a man’s wife, she sets out to derail the job, setting her on a collision course with the killer and entangling them in a dangerous and seductive relationship.

The show also stars Juan Diego Botto (Ismael, El Greco), Terry Kinney (Oz, Show Me a Hero), and Lusia Strus (Wayward Pines, Cotton).

Good Behavior is the best series that I have followed. The two lead actors are both fantastic and the storyline is unique and complete… it has suspense, action, romance and even humor. I will definitely watch Season 2 which excites not just me but thousands of follower-fans of this wonderful series. Juan Diego Botto is the best choice for the role of the sexy and handsome hitman! As for Michelle aka Letty, she is perfect for the role of the thief too!
