Griswolds Travel Through NC In First ‘Vacation’ Trailer

Featuring scenes filmed partially in Charlotte, North Carolina last year, the first official red band (restricted) trailer for the upcoming reboot of National Lampoon’s Vacation has arrived online.

Featuring the return of Chevy Chase as Clark Griswold and Beverly D’Angelo as his wife Ellen, the comedy also stars Ed Helms (We’re the Millers) as Rusty Griswold, who decides he wants to take his family, including wife Christina Applegate, on a road trip to the Walley World theme park, like his dad did in the original. Vacation stars Ed Helms (The Hangover, We’re the Millers), Christina Applegate (Anchorman), Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Leslie Mann (So This Is 40), with Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprising their iconic roles as the Griswolds.

The production spent a day filming scenes at the U.S National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Vacation arrives in theaters on July 29.
