After filming its pilot episode in Wilmington, North Carolina earlier this year, it was announced late last week that the new drama Secrets & Lies has been picked up by ABC and will go to series, but the best news is that production of the show, starring Ryan Phillippe (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers) will return to Wilmington to shoot the reminder of its first season.
Ryan Phillippe stars in the drama as a patriarch who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a young boy when he finds the body in ABC’s American adaptation of the Australian series Secrets & Lies.
KaDee Strickland plays Phillippe’s wife Christy, whose feelings toward her husband are complicated following his discovery of the body.
Juliette Lewis plays Andrea Cornell, the unflappable, somewhat formidable detective conducting the investigation into the slaying of 4-year-old Tom Mullen who has her sights set on Ben (Phillippe), the loving father who found the boy’s body.
Also starring are Charles Dutton (Roc), Steven Brand (Magic City), Kate Ashfield (Shaun of the Dead), and India Evans.
